Does anyone out there know where I can find a voltage regulator for an 08′ slammer, or the make and amp (40 I think) that came stock on them?

    Thanks

Boss.. Press the little button on your speedo. it will come up. for example. 22. then flash to another number 48..so your milage is 2248. Dude. switch to Dakota the AIH head. sucks. piece of sh**t I Picked up my SLammer brand new. it was beautiful/. but ran like crap. i had no idea how fast i was going..(i really didn’t care. But would have like to have an Idea) I took the old head off. Switched to Dakota. Much better then the AIH brand. Took the pipes off switched to Vance & Hines…The wiring was an ABORTION. not charging. Just crap. AIH wired from battery to some crap relay., now its wired direct to the starter. as it should. and purchased a new 3 phase voltage regulator. starts up like a champ..and runs great.

MsShanek- It’s not electrical its the crappy product by AIH…switch to a Dakota. I love it. I had the same problem with the battery not charging..Have your mechanic wire the Battery direct to starter..and check your Voltage Regulator. Now mine works like a champ..13 volts all the time..

I’ve had a 2007 slammer for 2 years now. The only issue that i’ve had with it has been the speedometer; sometimes it works and soemtimes it does’nt. I don’t know if this is do to an electrical problem or just a crap speedo. I do know that it has a touchy electrical system; i.e. if the battery isn’t fully charged the bike runs like crap. If anybody out there has any insight on 2007 models please let me know.
