Bell has just slain the masses of open face wannabes with a fully DOT-compliant helmet that is as small as the “novelty helmets” that garner tickets all over the USofA. The Custom 300 just may be the one that makes you ditch your flimsy cool-guy helmet.
Remember kids, Bell pretty much invented this style of helmet over 50 years ago, so they stepped up and did it right with this one. The Custom 500 helmet is lightweight, mucho protectivo, and doesn’t sit up on your head like Fred Flintstone’s Royal Order of Water buffalo lodge hat… and it just may save your life.
We like the orange and silver helmets with chrome trim they are producing, but would like to see more of them in traditional colors like plain black, regular white, and green, red and blue metalflake.
Here’s a tip to the folks at Bell Instead of the rather lackluster eyeball and pinstripe graphics, why don’t you just let the customer take them to a qualified pinstriper for a real “custom striped” helmet. But, hey, y’all need to keep your art department off Facebook and busy working on something huh?
& how about a re-issue of the Moto 3 while you are at it?
