We’ve been riding a set of these Chrome Saipan Shoes and they are pretty damn nice. First designed for bicycle couriers, they have been a favorite of our pals who ride kick-only bikes in the Bay Area for quite some time due to their good looks and technological design.
The Saipan shoes feature 1,000 denier Cordura with back-padding, a 100% vulcanized construction. the best thing about these shoes is that the sport a reinforced nylon/glass fiber shank to support the midsole and a board lasted sole to eliminate kicker pedal hot spots.
We have been riding with the Saipan’s for a little while now and have found them to be comfy and durable.
