On Oct. 16th We ventured out to New York City’s Chelsea district to attend Harley-Davidson’s Art show dubbed “The Art of Rebellion.”The event, which was held at La Venue on , brought together 10 emergining artists such as Frank Kozic, Dirty Donny, The Harpoon, Brian Ewing, Derek Hess, The Pizz and Tara Mcpherson.

The show was jam-packed with some of the coolest art we have ever seen on sporty tanks. Dirty Donny and The Harpoon, went with the tried and tru flake and panel paint, where as many other artists got down and dirty with other meduims such as scribes, denim, silk screening and semi-automatic weapons.

There were also three bikes on hand. One being the art mule for Frank Kozic’s handiwork and another being a stock 883 Iron, which looks pretty badass right out of the box. The last bike was a raked and flaked bike dreamed up by Matt Davis at Dice Magazine. The chopper looked nothing like the 883 Iron it started out as. Beside the Sporty’s powerplant, rear wheel, and lower frame rails the rest of the bike was old 70′s parts dredged up from swapmeets or hand-fabricated.

The Event was a hit with hundreds of people showing up both nights to check out the art, custom bikes and free PBR. Nice Job Harley!

We will have a full story on in in the upcoming issue of Street Chopper, so keep and ear to the ground and an eye on you news stand.
